One last school post

A few days before school was out, there was a field day at the kids' school and I neglected posting about it until now. The kids rotated around the field and played a bunch of different games. Nolan's was in the morning and Aidan's was in the afternoon. It was so hot, I was dying, but the kids didn't seem to mind and they all had fun.
Here is Aidan doing the hula hoop Aidan shooting baskets
Aidan playing a relay game where each kid had to carry a cup of water on their head
And here's Nolan doing all the same games
shooting hoops
and hula hooping. Both Nolan and Aidan were really good at this, and Nolan even won on his team.
There must be something about a child's body that makes them good at hula hooping, because I remember being good at it too, when I was a kid, but I suck at it now. :)

Last Disney trip

We took our last trip to Disney to use the kid's final day on their passes. If it seems like we are always at Disney, we actually aren't. We just buy four day passes, and then strech them out into individual days so it lasts longer.
It will most likely be a few years before we head back so it's a little sad to be done. We had a lot of fun, but now we have a break from Disney and we can do other things, which will be nice.

Here are Zoie and Nolan on the goofy rollercoaster. Nolan and Aidan after riding Space Mountain.
Jim and Aidan on the Jungle cruise.

Nolan, Zoie and I on the Jungle Cruise.

Last day of school!!!!!!!!!!

Today was the boys' last day of school. Hallelujah! I could not be more happy (I think the kids are happy too though). I am so ready for a relaxing summer, and no homework! Of course by the end of summer I will probably be dying for school to start, but for now I am happy its over.

We decided to take the kids to get ice cream after school to celebrate. I should also mention that Nolan did awesome on his grades, he made five A's and one B!

Girls Weekend!

My wonderful husband decided that for Mother's Day this year he would take the kids away to a friend's house for the night and leave me alone to invite some friends over. So, after much cheering I called some friends from Fort Myers and even one from Tampa and we had an awesome girls weekend. I was so glad that all my friends were willing to make the drive to join me! We had a great time!
The first thing we did was get pedicures. Jennifer, Emily, Jen B, me, and MikelinThen we decided to drive to Clearwater beach to have dinner at a restaurant on the beach. There was a live band and the food was pretty good. After dinner we went for a walk on the beach. Here is me and Jennifer.
And we couldn't resist playing in the water a little. Jen B., me, and Emily
After playing on the beach we headed back to my house to settle in for the night. Of course with all of us girls together, the actual settling in didn't take place until after hours of talking and laughing. I don't even remember what time we all finally crawled into bed.
Sadly, early the next morning the numbers dwindled. Several people had to get home so they left early (losers, j/k). But Ginny, Jennifer and I were still not ready to give up on our alone time so we went to the beach. Can I just tell you how much different it is going to the beach by yourself? There were no toys, or a cooler full of snacks, or extra clothes and towels, we just took the bare essentials and it was awesome.

After the beach, Jennifer had to get home, but Ginny and I went to the Aveda Institute and she got a facial and I got a massage. Then we went to a movie. We had to stretch this out as long as we could. It was so great!

Thanks to all my awesome friends for coming and to Jim once again for giving me a break for Mother's Day. I hope you all had as much fun as I did.

hangin at molly's

One of our favorite places to eat, which just happens to be a mere 5 blocks away in downtown Ozona, is Molly Goodhead's. They have great seafood and AWESOME crab soup. Jim actually stops by every so often just to get us some soup to go, it's that good.
So when Austin and Ginny and fam stopped by after a fun trip to the beach to see our new home we decided to take them there for dinner. We had such a big group that we actually had to wait a little while for a table, which hardly ever happens. So for entertainment while waiting, we snapped a few pics of the hungry group.
Ethan, Nathan and Nolan

Our family minus Zoie, she was visiting Nana and Papa

Here is the whole group, as you can see we took up quite a bit of space. We are eating upstairs, I think I have mentioned before if anyone remembers that this restaurant is actually a house where Jim's great Aunt lived.
So, if you ever have a craving for some good seafood and great soup, come see us and we'll take you there too!
