It's A Luau! (Is that spelled right??? oh well)

To celebrate Zoie's birthday we invited a few friends over and had a Luau party. It was really cute. Although, 30 min before the party, we had a torrential downpour, with HUGE hail. It was so wierd,(hail is not super common in Florida) but I wanted to cry because I had planned for everyone to be outside for the party. Fortunately, the guests still came and were very understanding. The rain finally did stop and we were able to go outside, and the guests even helped to hang the lanterns and light the torches.

For food we had, what else? Hawaiian pizza. Not really though, it ended up being plain cheese or pepperoni, but that was the idea. Zoie liked it, so that's all that mattered.

I saw a really cute idea on the internet to put confetti in the pinata along with candy, but I didn't really think it through because there was confetti pieces everywhere. In all the kids' hair, on their faces, in the carpet, and tracked all over the house. I am still finding little pieces of it when I vacuum. But it was cute... oh the sacrifices we make to do cute things for our kids.

Let there be CAKE.....Everywhere!

Happy Birthday Zoie!

Zoie turned one!Time flies (sigh). She had a good time opening her gifts, with some help from daddy.

Her favorite was probably her new Cinderella chair. She carries it all around the house.

This is her birthday cookie. She really enjoyed it, but don't worry, we didn't skip the cake. The cake (and the mess) came later...

Fun Times at the Pool

We had a fun BBQ at Will's pool with the fam, and believe it or not, every now and then we get a visitor. (sniff--sniff) My friend from high school Stacy and her son Reece came to visit.
Aidan was all tuckered out and slept through all the fun. Poor guy.
Nolan is doing really well learning to swim. So far....
Nolan loves to hang out with his Uncle Will and Aunt Keri.

Happy Birthday Aidan!

We had a pirate party for Aidan's birthday this year. It turned out really cute. My camera wasn't working well though so I don't have as many pictures as I would have liked.

I made my first attempt at a homemade birthday cake. (It is a pirate ship in case you can't tell). I think it's not too bad for my first try.

Present time. SCORE!!!!
Yes, I am the birthday boy, so I can do what I want, including make a mess of myself.

Easter 2007

It has been a while since I have updated our post. (Sorry) But now I am FINALLY getting to it and playing catch up. Heading all the way back to April, we hosted the family Easter dinner at our house this year. The kids had a great time on their easter egg hunt (Zoie was sleeping though, so she missed out on the fun.)
I am trying to do this quickly so I won't write much just pictures for now.

T-Ball

This year Nolan is in T-ball. His first game was on March 3rd and it was a double-header so it was a long day, but we all had fun watching him.
Nolan did pretty well batting. Every player gets to hit every inning.
Nolan running to first...
... Nolan safe at first, and looking bored.
Nolan and Uncle Will...#1!
Everyone waiting for the next game to start.
Zoie and Aidan got a little bored, but they found ways to entertain themselves.

Beach Day

We all love the beach so much and really enjoy living so close, especially when we can go in February!

It takes Zoie a few minutes to get used to the sand, but after she adjusts she digs right in.
The boys always love to dig holes and make castles with daddy.

The best part of digging a hole is jumping in and getting buried.

Disney Trip Jan. 1, 2001

We went as a family to Disney World on New Year's Day and had a great time. We also enjoyed having "new grandma" (Tiffany's Mom) with us. It was great to spend a day together just having fun.
The kids all love the It's A Small World ride, especially Zoie. They wouldn't pay attention to the lady with the camera.

Aidan and Zoie both fell asleep in the stroller before we had even had lunch.

Family Picture Time

It's always fun to try and get three kids to cooperate to take a picture. All three were tired after church, so it was a fun time.
This one is not quite what we were looking for, but kind of funny to capture the process.
Almost cute.

This one turned out pretty well.

It is always easier without the kids.
