Summer Recap - July

Logan is already following in his sister's footsteps of being able to fall asleep almost anywhere. :)

Love those sweet potatoes!

My cousin's wife and her kids came to visit her family and we met up at the beach. Check out this beach cutie!

Summer Recap - June

Rather than try to go back and make posts for everything that I skipped over the summer, I am going to do a quick monthly recap of just the highlights (but really, just the stuff I actually got pics of).

Before school got out last year, Nolan got to bring home his class chickens for the night. The kids thought they were so fun to play with but I'm glad it was only 1 night because we (and by we I mean I) had to clean the cage twice before we took them back.

Bathing cutie!

He is getting so big, I can't believe it! He loves taking baths and will take off for the tub the minute he hears the water running.

Rays and Goo Goo Dolls!

Jim and I went to a Rays game that had a Goo Goo Dolls concert after. I was so excited (they were my favorite band in college). Jim was excited too, even though he looks half asleep in this picture, ha ha! Johnny Damon striking out. Boo!

Let's go surfing now!

We drove over to Cocoa Beach this summer for five days with our friends Austin and Ginny and their family. We needed a little getaway before we had to get back to school. It was so great! We borrowed a surf board from Jim's bro, and all took turns trying to surf.

The waves were pretty small, but it made it easy for us to learn on and safe for the kids to play too. It was so relaxing and we can't wait to do it again next year! (maybe next year we will be brave and try someplace with bigger waves) Hang ten!Surfer boys... so cute!

Cocoa beach is home of the first and largest Ron Jon surf shop. It was just a few blocks from our hotel so we had to check it out.

We decided to all share a 2-bedroom hotel room and it was a tight squeeze, but lots of fun and the kids loved it. The kitchen was tiny and looks even smaller with Austin in it. Ha!

The great view
