We drove over to Cocoa Beach this summer for five days with our friends Austin and Ginny and their family. We needed a little getaway before we had to get back to school. It was so great! We borrowed a surf board from Jim's bro, and all took turns trying to surf.
The waves were pretty small, but it made it easy for us to learn on and safe for the kids to play too. It was so relaxing and we can't wait to do it again next year! (maybe next year we will be brave and try someplace with bigger waves)

Cocoa beach is home of the first and largest Ron Jon surf shop. It was just a few blocks from our hotel so we had to check it out.
We decided to all share a 2-bedroom hotel room and it was a tight squeeze, but lots of fun and the kids loved it. The kitchen was tiny and looks even smaller with Austin in it. Ha!
